14 Mile Run

6 Mi Bike Ride

WOW!  What a great morning!  I ran to El Morro than down the ocean walk at the base of El Morro and back.  I ran 3/4s of a mile around the track so I could get upto 14 miles!  I felt awesome!  I still have the water trouble, it still gets warm, but today was a cool morning so it wasn’t that big of a deal!

MAN what a run!  About half a mile into it, it started to pour, but just for a second.  Then I went to get out of the way of another runner on a very dark sidewalk and there were metal boxes on the side of the sidewalk which i tripped over (because it was pitch dark) so I tripped.  I didn’t fall on my face (pretty close though) but my sunglasses flew off my head, my water bottles jabbed the middle of my back and I actually have a huge bruise, then 2 of my water bottles popped out of my waist belt!  What a jolt!  It sprinkled and rained off and on most of my run, and it got warm at the very end, but there was still a nice breeze, so it was still not squeltching hot!!  I got home around 8:30ish!

 I went to work early on my bike so I could go to the rocks and watch the waves crash.  I got yelled at on the path by security cuz I guess bikes arn’t allowed, who knew, there arn’t any signs posted!  How come I love watching waves crash on rocks SO much?  WOW, it was spectacular though….  I was super close to the rocks and they were crashing a few feet from my face, but I was only getting a little bit of spray, I loved every second of it!  The path was the one below El Morro, which is becoming a favorite place, despite the cruise shippers!

December 25th

9 Mi Run

Merry Christmas!  I ran today with my new Garmin Forerunner 201 GPS running gizmo!  It is super cool!  It will do all sorts of things, but far it has told me exactly how far I’ve run and at what pace!  It will also be able to plug it into my computer and it will show me a map of where I ran!  It does all sorts of other things too which I will learn!  I was a christmas gift from a wonderful person.

December 24th SOLELUNA RESTAURANT

NO TIME!  I swear…. I got up, went to work, the out with Aunt Wanda to dinner then off to bed!  Where did THAT day go!?!

It was a great dinner at SoleLuna on the Ocean Park side of Isla Verde, which everyone and their mother should try.  Michel is the owner/chef and he is amazing!  He is from Milan Italy and creates magic in his kitchen!

Today was a fun filled day with Sunt Wanda! We were in Cabo Rojo at a fabulous beach resort close to the lighthouse.  I got up early in the morning and wend for a run upto the lighthouse, ainding around the cliffs on my way.  Needless to say, beautiful!

Then we got back to San Juan, loaded the bikes on the back of the car and cruised down to the Reef Restaurant.  Took a bike ride down the boardwalk and through the jungle… There is an awesome wooden boardwalk through the marshy area next to the beach which is really nice.  I ahve run there often!  The railings of the boardwalk kept attacking Aunt Wanda, and one jumped right out and hit her shoulder.  She’ll be OK and it really funny!
